Course objective
The UK Approach Control Surveillance (APS) course aims to provide trainees with the necessary level of skills, knowledge and competence, which leads to an award of an Approach Control Surveillance Rating.
Description
Four days of theory focussing on ATC management and procedures followed by practical sessions covering all aspects required to achieve a UK rating in Approach Control Surveillance. On completion of the UK Approach Control Surveillance (APS) course students will have a UK rating enabling them to commence on the job training at an operational ATC unit.
Entry Criteria
Students should be fluid in English to the ICAO English Language Level 4 standard, hold a current UK Class 1 medical and have passed the Basic Course.
